- Application instructions
- Preparation
- Foundation surface
- The substrate surface must be free from oil, grease or any loosely adherent material. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitence, it must be cut back to a sound base. Bolt holes and fi xing pockets must be blown clean of any dirt or debris.
- Pre-soaking Several hours prior to placing, the concrete substrates should be saturated with fresh water. Immediately before grouting takes place any free water should be removed with particular care being taken to blow out all bolt holes and pockets.
- Base plate
- It is essential that this is clean and free from oil, grease or scale. Air pressure relief holes should be provided to allow venting of any isolated high spots.
- Levelling shims
- If these are to be removed after the grout has hardened, they should be treated with a thin layer of grease.FormworkThe formwork should be constructed to be leakproof. This can be achieved by using foam rubber strip or mastic sealant beneath the constructed formwork and between joints. In some cases it is practical to use a sacrifi cial semi-dry sand and cement formwork. The formwork should include outlets for pre-soaking.Unrestrained surface areaThis must be kept to a minimum. Generally the gap width between the perimeter formwork and the plate edge should not exceed 150mm on the pouring side and 50mm on the op-posite side. It is advisable, where practical, to have no gap at the fl ank sides.

Conplast WL Xtra waterproofs by improving the quality of the
concrete or mortar. It reduces the water demand for required
workability and minimises segregation and bleeding. Thus it is
more effi cient compared to traditional powder and conventional
integral waterproofi ng compounds as its use results in two fold
improvement of concrete or mortar.
Uses
To minimise permeability and increase the waterproofi ng
properties of concrete, plaster and cement sand mortars for
critical applications like roof slabs, screeds, basements, external
plastering, bathroom fl oors, water tanks, sumps, drains etc.
Feature and Benefi ts:
Advanced Technology : New generation molecule
yields high performance concrete. Suitable for any
grade of concrete including higher grades.
Corrosion resistant: Meets the requirements of
Japanese code JIS Z1535 (modifi ed) fi rst of kinds in
the integral water proofi ng range.
High Strength : Due to better dispersion of cement
particles and helps in the better degree of hydration
yielding high strength compared to control.
Cohesive Mix : Improves workablity and cohesiveness
of the concrete.
Durability : Improves durability due to reduction in
permeability of concrete and corrosion resistance of steel.

Important: extrude the initial material until the colour becomes red and consistent. This typically takes two or three full squeezes. Discard material that is streaky in colour. Insert the nozzle to the back of the hole and pump the Lokfix material gently pulling back until the hole is ¾ full. Ensure there are no voids in the resin. If the hole is too deep for the nozzle to reach the back, use a nozzle extender. In wide/overhead holes a piston plug will help reduce slump and ensure a void fee application. This is particularly recommended for fixings above 20mm diameter.
Observing the product gel time, insert the fixing into the hole using a gentle twisting motion. Ensure the fixing is inserted to the required depth and is held straight until the resin sets. There should be some extrusion of the Lokfix material from the hole which indicates that there is full embedment
